Wrenched from a tune

I pull out my heart, no longer beat deep,
see it pulse and quiver a mass of red,
and now I await to fall into sleep,
I breathe and I shudder I am not dead.

I wrench out only for you all my love,
see it shine and glitter, dancing for joy,
pulled from my heart it flutters like a dove,
fragile and precious its more than a toy.

I string forth a song with undying tune,
based on emotion both dark and so bright,
like a delicate flower watch it bloom,
gayer than even the angels can write.

Without heart or love can song live on?
Nay, like a soft whisper it has all gone.
